Clever offers an excellent ballistic alternative to lead (density 11) with this product loaded with COPPER shots (density 9.1), in compliance with wetland restrictions. Advantages: Copper’s higher density compared to steel ensures greater inertia, less velocity loss, and good performance up to 45 m; it also offers moderate deformability compared to steel—which is much harder—and is completely non-toxic, thanks also to its biodegradable wad. At medium-to-long ranges (35 to 45 m), since copper is lighter than lead (by about 18%), despite the decrease in velocity, and because it is harder than lead, it produces compact and precise shot patterns, delivering more pellets to the game than lead. With an initial velocity of 415–420 m/s, this product comes close to matching the performance of lead cartridges at medium to long ranges.
