11th CLEVER Grand Prix (Olympic Trap) in Concaverde (Lonato del Garda)
3rd May 2013
Great success for CLEVER GRAND PRIX (OLYMPIC TRAP) in Concaverde (Lonato del Garda). After 100 targets the victory goes to Marco Capurro, a shooter of TAV Cairo, in Montenotte (SV), with a terrific 99/100.
It was no easy task for Marco Capurro, 1st cat., who was Italian Champion in the 1st cat.  in 2010 on TAV Cieli Aperti podium: in fact Marco Capurro was allowed to cheer only during the last two rounds.
It was constantly a very exciting match, full of twists and turns, well coordinated by the national referee Santo Falanga; it went beyond everyone’s wildest imagination, with a presence of 360 shooters, more of 70% of them shooting Clever cartridges. Athletes competing could be much more but, with regret, about two dozen people could not participate the race, due to the “sold-out”.
From the beginning Mirco Lucchini, Ubaldo Gazzaniga and the Irish shooter, already world champion Derek Burnett ran the game.
In the meanwhile other big names of international shooting, just to mention some of them, the winner of Beijing Olympic Gold, the shooter of Check Rep. David Kostelecky, the Slovakian Mario Filipovic, the Italian Mauro De Filippis , Daniele Resca and the French national shooter Stephane Clamens, were coming.
In the first hours of afternoon Mauro De Filippis shows his great 98/100, Resca tries immediately to get a better score but he stops himself at 96/100, then it’s Claudio Armiraglio’s time, who gets 97/100, as well as Fabio Maiolini and Stefano Pennoni.
De Filippis shows leadership skills hard to be beaten till the arrival of Marco Capurro ‘s 99/100 who, with his Pro Extra Evolution missed only one target, a left one in the forth round, gaining the first place.
In the late afternoon other shooters, like Domenico Sciarrone with his 75/75,  try to reach podium, but a result of 16/25 in the forth round destroys all his efforts.
At the end of the day the enthusiastic Marco Capurro is rewarded by Alberto Chiampan, Clever CEO, with the Clever branded “gold cartridge”.
